The concept of Grape Beginnings Winery was brought to fruition after a college room-mate weekend up at my family cabin the summer of 2013. One of my room-mates brought some wine with her from the boutique winery she manages in southern Michigan. I have always enjoyed wine and my husband Brent has been acquiring a taste for it since
The concept of Grape Beginnings Winery was brought to fruition after a college room-mate weekend up at my family cabin the summer of 2013. One of my room-mates brought some wine with her from the boutique winery she manages in southern Michigan. I have always enjoyed wine and my husband Brent has been acquiring a taste for it since we've been together. Once the weekend was over, I mentioned the idea of starting a boutique winery in Midland to Brent. We decided that a winery was something that would fit into the culture of Midland and the surrounding Bay City, Saginaw area and that it would be well received.
In January 2014 Grape Beginnings Winery, LLC was started. January 2015 Grape Beginnings Winery opened for business. Our niche is worldly wines made local, continually making new wines, finding wine merchandise and trying new food to add to our menu, while striving to have great customer service for the people who come visit our lovely winery.

We appreciate you! Meeting everyone that has visited Grape Beginnings Winery has been a great experience. Brent and I have decided that we need to move in a different direction and will be closing GBW at the end of March 2025. We will have normal operations for certain through February. March will be left for selling remaining inventory, store furnishings etc. Thank you so much for all of your support and friendship over our 10 years! I will be expanding my current pet sitting business, Treasured Tails, LLC, to include dog boarding. This may take a bit to get up and running but keep me and Treasured Tails, LLC in mind for your pet sitting needs!

Grape Beginnings Winery makes wines from juice obtained from all over the world. Our location on the corner of Rodd and Main St allows us to have a permanent outdoor patio on the side of our building

We are now offering the opportunity to purchase at least 2 cases your favorite red wine with different bottle dates at 30% off. The majority of our reds have 3-4 batches with bottle dates ranging from August 2021 up to Dec 2023. You will receive at least 6 (up to 8) bottles from each bottle date depending on which red is your favorite.
