Worldly Wines Made Local

The concept of Grape Beginnings Winery was brought to fruition after a college room-mate weekend up at my family cabin the  summer of 2013.  One of my room-mates brought some wine with her from  the boutique winery she manages in southern Michigan.  I have always  enjoyed wine and my husband Brent has been acquiring a taste for it since we've  been together.  Once the weekend was over, I mentioned the idea of  starting a boutique winery in Midland to Brent.  We decided that a  winery was something that would fit into the culture of Midland and the surrounding Bay City, Saginaw area and that it would be well received. 

In January 2014 Grape  Beginnings Winery, LLC was started.  January 2015 Grape Beginnings Winery opened for business.  Our niche is worldly wines made local, continually making new wines, finding wine merchandise and trying new food to add to our menu, while striving to have great customer service for the people who come visit our lovely winery.

Located in Downtown Midland, home to the iconic Tridge, as well as Dow Gardens and the Whiting Canopy Walk and Midland Center for the Arts. Grape Beginnings Winery makes wines from juice obtained from all over the world.  Our location on the corner of Rodd and Main St allows us to have a permanent outdoor patio on the side of our building and a seasonal patio out front to enjoy Michigan, weather permitting, outdoor seating.
